St Paul's Anglican Church
St Pauls Anglican church at Barden Ridge had an exciting problem. Their youth ministries were flourishing and the existing church building did not provide adequate facilities. They dreamed of a large games hall suitable for indoor basket ball along with rooms for Sunday school classes and office facilities for the church staff.
Design Solution
Whilst the congregation had originally envisaged the facilities in a separate building to the existing church, Aibee Architects proposed an alternative approach that allowed for all the facilities to be fully integrated. This approach achieved a building that greatly encouraged congregational interaction and convenience. A full site master plan was also prepared that allowed for future facilities and parking needs to provide assurance that the project was right for the long term, not just the immediate needs.
Aibee Architects assisted the church not only with full architectural services but also with advice about fund raising programs and with material for promotion of the project.
Client Comment
After nearly two years of experiencing life in our new extended facilities we are very pleased indeed. The building looks so good I feel proud of it every time I walk around the corner. I know the neighbours like it. They turned up in surprising numbers on our open day and were full of praise. More importantly, the new facilities work. They function admirably with activities as wide ranging as church, youth meetings, playtime, large sit down dinners and Kids Church.
Thank you for taking the care to understand our needs and coming up with the best solution by far.
Best regards, Rob Barrie (senior minister)
