Groves Christian College
This Brisbane school has been gradually adding new buildings to a relatively crowded site. Aibee Architects designed and oversaw construction on several key buildings, including the library and specialist facilities.
Design Solution
An economical yet architecturally satisfying style was chosen for the form of the new buildings, to complement the existing buildings on site. In the Library, internal spatial complexity was added in the entrance area, to provide a sense of place. The buildings are designed appropriately for the Queensland climate, allowing high levels of cross ventilation and ample shading.
